Michael J Curtin

Michael is a founding Partner of Curtin, O’Friel & Company and is the Managing Partner. He has over 44 years’ experience in providing business advisory services to clients and deals with a wide variety of clients, which includes small and medium size enterprises, manufacturing companies and farmers. His specialty, however, lies with small and medium size enterprises, where he advises on business management and development. He is well known within the farming community for advising particularly young farmers on developing their enterprise and farming partnerships. He leads the Practice in Personal and Corporate Taxation and also deals with Capital Tax Clients.

Michael has thorough knowledge of his profession that possesses the rare quality to be able to communicate the information clearly and succinctly.

Michael is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and is a registered Auditor. He is a member of the Irish Tax Institute

James O’Friel

James is a founding partner of Curtin, O’Friel & Company, with over 40 years’ experience in public accounting practice, James has amassed a wealth of knowledge in all areas of accounting, taxation and business consultancy. Over that time, he has built up a close working relationship with a wide variety of clients, which he feels is invaluable in ensuring that the best possible service is delivered to clients of Curtin, O’Friel & Company.

James is a member of The Institute of Incorporated Public Accountants.

Ivan J Kerins

Ivan has in excess of 20 years’ experience in practice and he has acquired a wealth of knowledge in business advisory services, taxation, and other core accounting services. He specialises in small to medium size enterprises and provides assurance and accountancy services to a wide variety of clients across numerous sectors including manufacturing, retail, motor, construction and hospitality within the practice. He regularly advises individuals in their dealings with financial institutions and also other creditors including the Revenue Commissioners.

Ivan enjoys interacting with clients and believes trust and confidence are the key factors to building and maintaining excellent working relationships.

Ivan is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Damian Barrow

Damian is lead partner in the Audit and Advisory Department. Damian has over 20 years’ experience in the provision of audit and advisory services and has advised clients on various aspects of their business including acquisitions and disposals, dispute resolutions and succession issues.

Damian also has significant expertise in all areas of accounting including business and personal taxation, business start-ups and company secretarial work. He also has extensive experience in working with solicitors.

Damian is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and is a registered auditor. He is also a member of the Certified Public Accountants.
